I wonder if maybe people need to think of sex as a privelage of a relationship rather than a right. In the past (like the dark ages) sex was the right of the man. He was entitled to sex with the wife pretty much whenever he wanted.

Times have changed- but there is still the expectation that sex is a right in a relationship, but maybe- it shouldnt be. Now I know the hole in this argument is that if you are in a good relationship- there will be sex- but maybe when things arent good- people need to think this way. If things arent good- the relationship needs to be fixed first- then sex will follow...or not. Just an idea...lol

I think I'm in agreement on this, Gin. For so long, my spouse and I used sex as a 'fix' to the problems. Fighting? Have sex. Dilemma? Have sex. Etc, etc. Thing is, we never really got to the root of the problem or solved any dilemmas...they were really jusy postponed. Worst part is that the longer things got postponed, the BIGGER they became.

Fast forward to now...and I hate him. I hold him responsible for why I am so unhappy with my life...though in actuality I know that it is really my fault...for LOTS of reasons. And, partly because I can't leave the situation. But, also partly, because I still allow sex to happen...which he believes means I love him. I don't. The sex is few and far between now...it's not good when you don't really like the person...but a girl has needs, damn it.

Sex is never a solution as far as I'm concerned. Sex is something that should be enjoyed...and happy...and crazy...but it is extra. And, it shouldn't be taken for granted. EVER.

In my life of late- sex is an endangered species...LOL

Lately, I am just tired of masterbating...I want to touch someone. I want to feel skin. I want to kiss.

I wonder how a relationship would be if you could not have sex for at least 6 months after going out. Would this make things better or worse? On one hand- to stick around for 6 months with no sex- you'd have to be having a good time- right? Find other things in common that you enjoy- On the other hand- imagine waiting 6 months- not having sex- finally doing so- and hating it with that person -hmmmm

That is a situation! I am still totally in favor of the Re-Up Policy...

re-up sounds good to me...I bet there would be ALOT more single people then though...but single and looking might be better than no longer looking and miserable
